ICC U19 World Cup: Pakistan beat Afghanistan by 109 runs

BUDERIM, Australia (TheSportsNext) August 11, 2012: Gutsy half centuries by Babar Azam and Mohammad Nawaz eased Pakistan U19 cricket team into a 109 runs victory over Afghanistan U19 in their opening match of the 2012 ICC U19 World Cup at John Blanck Oval in Buderim on Saturday.

ICC U19 World Cup: England beat Pakistan by 5wkts in warm-up

BRISBANE (TheSportsNext) August 7, 2012: England U19 cricket team defeated Pakistan U19 cricket team by five wickets in their warm up match played at Brisbane on Tuesday.

Batting first, Pakistan scored daunting 281 runs for the loss of six wickets from their 50 overs, thanks mainly to a gritty century by Saad Ali (100 from 92 – 8 fours, 1 six) while Imam-ul-Haq (79 from 116- 4 fours) also exhibited good form with the bat. A late flurry of boundaries by Usman Qadir (31 not out from 18 – 3 sixes) and Salman Afridi (22 not out from 19 – 1 four) helped the team to a formidable total.

Sami Aslam turns focus to ICC U19 World Cup

Pakistan U19 beat Australia by 7wkts, go 2-0 up

GOLD COAST, Australia (TheSportsNext) July 31, 2012: Superb bowling effort helped the Pakistan U19 to clinch the three-match series against Australia as they won the second Youth One-Day International by seven wickets with 92 balls to spare at Kerrydale Oval on Tuesday.

Batting first, Australia U19 were restricted to only 139 runs all out from 43.1 overs with Cameron Bancroft (47 from 111 – 2 fours) and Travis Head (43 from 41 – 3 fours, 2 sixes) being the top scorers.
