The local media had reported in the past few days that Kevin
Pietersen did show his intent to represent England in the 2012 ICC World

only those players would be selected who are available for both ODIs and T20s.
The ECB will submit with the ICC its final squad of 15 on
August 18.
Kevin Pietersen is the most successful batsman to-date in
Twenty20 cricket as he boasts an average of 37.93 and has scored 1,176 runs.
