KARACHI,
Pakistan (TheSportsNEXT) July 31, 2015: Former Pakistan skipper Shoaib Malik, who married Indian
tennis queen Sania Mirza, has become the fourth Pakistani batsman to score
1,000 or more runs in the Twenty20 International format.
The
all-rounder achieved the feat during first Twenty20 International against Sri
Lanka at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Thursday, which Pakistan comfortably
won by 29 runs.
Three other
Pakistani batsmen including Mohammad Hafeez, Umar Akmal, and skipper Shahid
Khan Afridi have already scored over 1,000 runs in T20 cricket.
Mohammad
Hafeez has scored the most T20I runs for Pakistan as he tops the list with
1,371 runs, followed by Umar Akmal with 1,339 runs, and Shahid Afridi with
1,173 runs.
