NEW DELHI (TheSportsNext) September 8, 2012: Indian left-hand batsman Yuvraj Singh will have to wait till September 11 to make a comeback into international cricket after first Twenty20 International match between Indian and New Zealand was washed out without even a single delivery bowled at VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Saturday.

Expanding Cricket: Can We Follow Soccer Model?

VICTORIA, Australia (TheSportsNext) August 2, 2012: Not too long ago, Soccer was known as a niche sport. As at the 1980s, soccer was really only seriously played in Western Europe and South America. The same countries competed for top spot all of the time: Brazil and Argentina from South America versus Germany and England from Europe. Occasionally Uruguay from South America won it while France from Europe was also known to win it. But that was it. Everyone else didn't take it particularly seriously. It was played to some extent in other countries but never with the same degree of seriousness.

5-star Elias Sunny scathes Ireland in 1st T20I

BELFAST (TheSportsNext) July 19, 2012: A career-best bowling performance by Elias Sunny and an all-rounder show by former skipper Shakib Al Hasan helped Bangladesh defeat Ireland by a huge margin of 72 runs in the first of the three Twenty20 Internationals at Civil Service Cricket Club in Stormont on Wednesday.
