Morgan, McCullum join PSL for 2nd edition

KARACHI, July 1 (TheSportsNEXT): Former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum and current English Twenty20 skipper Eoin Morgan have joined the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for its second edition to be held early next year.

Both Brendon McCullum and Eoin Morgan are regarded among the best hitters of the cricket ball in the shortest format.


Brendon McCullum represented the BlackCaps in 71 Twenty20 Internationals and smashed 2,140 runs at a whopping strike rate of 136.21 and average of 35.66 with the help of two centuries and 13 half-centuries. He also struck 91 sixes and 199 boundaries besides taking 36 catches and eight stumping during his T20 career.


Similarly, Eoin Morgan has played 62 Twenty20 Internationals for England and scored 1,060 rupees at a brisk strike rate of 131.98 and average of 28.55 with the help of seven half-centuries. During his glowing T20I career, Morgan has smacked 112 fours and 60 sixes besides pouching 27 catches.
