(TheSportsNext) August 26, 2012: The OCA Baseball Coaching Course 2012 was
inaugurated here at the Sports Board Punjab Academy, National Hockey Stadium on
Sunday.
Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB) president and Pakistan
Olympic Association (POA) vice president Shaukat Javed was the chief guest at
the opening ceremony and inaugurated the course. POA secretary M Khalid
Mehmood, Punjab Olympic Association secretary Idrees Haider Khawaja, PFB
secretary Syed Khawar Shah, course director Arif Shehzad, and course
participants from different departments, provinces and universities from across
the country attended the ceremony.
Shaukat Javed thanked Pakistan Olympic Association for
allotting the OCA Baseball Coaching Course to Pakistan Federation Baseball. He
also highlighted that this coaching course would be fruitful for the promotion
of the game across the country. POA secretary Khalid Mehmood praised the
baseball federation for the befitting arrangements of the course. Earlier,
Khawar Shah disclosed the details of the course to the participants and the
guests.
POA president Lt General (retd) Syed Arif Hassan will be
chief guest at the concluding ceremony and distribute certificates among the
successful participants on September 6.
