Pakistani Olympians said Thursday that Pakistan has capable enough side to
defeat Great Britain in the London2012 hockey tournament.
Talking to local media here, former captain and Olympian
Shahbaz Ahmed Senior said that that national hockey team played exceptionally
well against Argentina and never allowed them to dictate terms.

Wednesday, skipper of Pakistan hockey team Sohail Abbas has found room for
improvement ahead of the crucial match against Great Britain.

former Olympian Samiullah Khan Niazi urged the national hockey team to cut down
on their mistakes if they want to challenge the very best in the London 2012

Talking to local media after Pakistan defeated Argentina by
two goals to nil, Samiullah, also known as Flying Horse, said that while it was
good to see Pakistan scoring goals from short corners but at the same time they
lacked field goals which are equally important to win big games.

Federations (IAAF) on Wednesday suspended nine track and field athletes from
participation in the London 2012 for their positive dope tests.
Three out of these nine athletes were caught in retests of
