LONDON (TheSportsNext) August 1, 2012: Pakistan hockey team will face Argentina in their second Group A match of London Olympics 2012 today at Riverbank Arena and after impressive show against Spain in the first match on Monday, they are hoping to register their first win in the tournament.

Pakistan played draw against Spain in their opening match by 1-1 but they displayed impressive performance against the European giant. Pakistan will heavily rely on their world record holder specialist Sohail Abbas and Rehan Butt. Sohail Abbas missed two golden opportunities in the match against Spain as he failed to convert two penalty corners.

Argentina lost its opening match against Great Britain on Monday by heavy margin of 4-1 and they must be looking for impressive show against the three times Olympics gold medalist. Pakistan played good in patches against Spain but they lacked focus in last 10-15 minutes and they were also far behind in the fitness as compared to the other top teams in the London 2012 Olympics.

The match will start at 11:00pm at Pakistan Standard time. In other matches of Group A today, Spain will play against Australia while Great Britain will take on South Africa. In Group B matches, Belgium will play against Netherlands, India will take on New Zealand while Korea will face Germany.
