KARACHI (TheSportsNext) August 2, 2012: After
defeating Argentina by two goals to nil in the London 2012 hockey tournament on
Wednesday, skipper of Pakistan hockey team Sohail Abbas has found room for
improvement ahead of the crucial match against Great Britain.
Pakistan are due to take on the hosts Great Britain in their
Group A match to be played on Friday at 4:00pm Pakistan time and Sohail Abbas,
who scored historic 346th goal against Argentina, said, “It was
great to record our first victory in the tournament but it doesn’t hide our
weaknesses and frailties”.
“If
we want to beat Great Britain, we will have to play sporadic brand of hockey”,
he said adding, “the victory against Argentina has boosted confidence of our
young players and they are ready to go against the hosts nation who will enjoy
the home advantage”.
