Captain Cook sails England out of an innings defeat scare

NEW DELHI, India (TheSportsNEXT) November 18, 2012: Captain Alastair Cook led England’s valiant fight back Sunday as the visitors avoided an innings defeat in the Ahmedabad Test against India.


When umpires called it stumps on day four, England had scored 340 for five and taken 10 runs lead with five wickets in hand.

Alastair Cook was not out on 168 while Matt Prior was unbeaten at 84 as the pair added 141 runs for the sixth wicket.
