KARACHI (TheSportsNext) August 8, 2012: The city
of Karachi is likely to host Pakistan’s first-ever National Beach Games
scheduled for February 2013 as Sindh Olympic Association (SOA) has already
started preparing for the event, TheNews reported Wednesday.
The newspaper quoted its sources in the SOA as saying that
the preparatory work would be expedited after the London 2012 Olympic Games but
the initial work has already been commenced.
It is important to mention here that the Pakistan Olympic
Association (POA) had mandated the Sindh Olympic Association the task to
organize the inaugural National Beach Games and a sight near Clifton area in
Karachi has been identified as the venue for the Games.
