(TheSportsNext) August 14, 2012: Lahore Rugby Football
Club (LRFC) Blacks outclassed DHA Greens by 26-7 in the festival rugby match
organised by DHA Rugby Club to celebrate Independence Day on Tuesday.
A large number of spectators were present on the
ground to witness the match despite rain in the city. In a 15-aside match, LRFC
Blacks took 12-0 lead in the first half with Shakeel Ahmad and Tahir scoring
playing brilliantly scored tries. DHA Greens players played well in the second
half and scored try but LRFC Blacks bounced back and performing superbly won
the match easily by 26-7. Tahir scored try for the winners.
Before rugby match, DHA Rugby Club organised cricket,
karate and basketball competitions as well to mark the Independence Day. DHA
Rugby Club president Tariq Niazi appreciated the enthusiasm of the players and
hoped that they would continue serving for the country in every field of life.
