GLASGOW, SCOTLAND
(TheSportsNext) August 30, 2012: Scottish soccer club Celtic qualified for
the group stages of the Champions League tournament after a lapse of four years
with an inspiring 2-0 home victory over Helsingborg to complete a 4-0 aggregate
triumph on Wednesday.
Gary Hooper scored the first goal for the Celtic in the
first half which was rather turned out to be a controversial effort but Celtic
accepted it happily before Victor Wanyama sealed the victory with a late goal
just a couple of minutes ahead of the final whistle to lift Scottish champions
into the Champions League 2013.
Now the Celtic will go into Thursday's draw where they will
get to know about their opponents in the Europe’s biggest soccer stage.
Celtic were already at advantage as they had defeated the
same side in Sweden by 2-0 and Wednesday saw them winning by the same margin at
Glasgow.
