KARACHI (TheSportsNext) August 28, 2012: One of the world’s most lethal all-rounders, Shahid Afridi, added yet another record to his One Day International career on Tuesday when he joined legendary countryman Wasim Akram on top of the list of scoring most number of ducks in the limited overs international by a Pakistani cricketer.

Shahid Afridi achieved the “Feat” during the first One Day International between Pakistan and Australia at Sharjah Cricket Stadium when Mitchell Starc got him out on his first delivery.

According to a cricket statistician, Mazhar Arshad, this is the 12th Golden Duck for the former skipper Shahid Khan Afridi, also known as Boom Boom Afridi, and he is the only batsman in the world to have got out on first delivery of the innings for 12 times.

Interestingly, Shahid Afridi has scored his 28th ODI duck on a day when Pakistan played their first-ever Twenty20 International and what’s more Afridi was Man of the Match in that encounter played in 2006.

Former Sri Lankan skipper Sanath Jayasuriya is on top of the all-time list of scoring most number of ducks in One-day cricket as he got out without scoring a run 34 times in his international career.
