Gavaskar tracks back on Indo-Pak series comments

TORONTO (TheSportsNext) August 9, 2012: Former Indian Test skipper Sunil Gavaskar, on Thursday, took a u-turn from his original stance about the upcoming Pakistan-India cricket series saying his comments were misconcepted.

Talking to NDTV, India’s living cricket legend clarified his stance saying Indian players required time to rest for the England series and this is where they are going to play against Pakistan.

Zaka Ashraf terms India-Pakistan series as 'ice-breaker'

LAHORE: Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Zaka Ashraf said Tuesday that the resumption of Pakistan-India cricketing ties is an “ice-breaker”.

Talking to reporters in Lahore, Zaka Ashraf revealed that President Board for Cricket Control in India (BCCI), N Srinivasan has confirmed him about the three-match One Day International and two-match Twenty20 International series in phone call.

Pak-India series: Rashid Latif advises PCB to focus financial aspect

KARACHI (TheSportsNext) July 24, 2012: Former Pakistani wicketkeeper and whistleblower against match fixing, Rashid Latif has advised the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to focus on the financial side of the upcoming bilateral series between Pakistan and India.

Pakistan and India will take on each other in limited overs internationals in December this year and former Test captain is of the belief that the PCB should also overcome the budgetary shortcomings through this series.
