(TheSportsNext Exclusive) July 31, 2012: The London2012 Olympic Games are in
full swing in England and we have witnessed some of the breath-taking sports
action already and as many as 15 records have been broken in the first three
days of the global mega-event.
As many as seven world records and eight Olympic records
have been broken by the London2012 athletes in sports like swimming, archery,
rowing, shooting, and weightlifting.
It all started on the initial day when South Korean archers
Oh Jin Hyek, Im Dong Hyun and Kim Bubmin secured 2087 points to set a new world
record in the Men’s Team Archery.
Im Dong Hyun of South Korea then posted another world record
by scoring 699 points in the Men’s Team Individual Archery event.
In rowing, Nathan Cohen and Joseph Sullivan of New Zealand
then wrote their names in the Olympics record books by completing the distance
in 6:11.30 to set a new Olympic Record in the Men’s Doubles Sculls.
Another Kiwi pair of Hamish Bond and Eric Murray then joined
forces in the Men’s Pair Rowing event to post a new world record by covering
their distance in record 6:08.50.
The fifth record came in shooting event of the London2012,
where Kimberly Rhode of United States broke the Olympic Record in Women’s Skeet
Shooting by collecting spiraling 74 points.

The most number of world and Olympic record have been broken
in the swimming events of the London 2012 where simmers from France, South
Africa, United States, Australia, and China rewrote history books by bettering former
records.
Camille Muffat of France completed Women’s 400 meters Freestyle
in 4:01.45 to set up a new Olympic record.
Cameron Van Der Burgh of South Africa then came from nowhere
to stun everyone with a record breaking performance in the Men’s 100 meters
Breaststroke and completed the distance in only 58.46 seconds to achieve a new World
Record.
Dana Vollmer of United States then put her swimming skills
on exhibition in the Women’s 100 meters Butterfly and created a new World
Record by completing the 100-meter-distance in just 55.98 seconds.
Australian swimmer Emily Seebohm then proved prowess at the
Aquatics Center with an Olympic Record after completing her Women’s 100 meters
Backstroke in 58.23 seconds.
Australian female swimmers then joined their forces to set
up another Olympic Record as Alicia Coutts, Cate Campbell, Brittany Elmslie,
and Melanie Schlanger topped the Women’s 400 meters Freestyle Relay in record
3:33.15 time.

Ye Shiwen of China then came up with a stunning performance
in the Women’s 400 meters Individual Medley as she scampered to World Record by
completing the race in 4:28.43. Most of the swimming coaches around the world
found it hard to digest her stunning performance and there are calls to
investigate the Chinese swimmer’s performance.
Zulfiya Chinshanlo of Kazakhstan touched an enormous
sporting altitude by creating Olympic Record of 226 and World Record of 131 in
the Women’s 53kg Weightlifting event of the London2012.
North Korean weightlifter Yun Chol Om posted London 2012 Olympics Record
score of 293 in his Men’s 56kg Weightlifting event the other day.
