Yuvraj Singh commences match practice in Bengaluru

NEW DELHI (TheSportsNext) August 2, 2012: Indian star cricketer Yuvraj Singh has made a comeback into the cricket field after defeating cancer by taking part in a practice match in Bengaluru.

The Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) selectors have already selected Yuvraj Singh in the country’s list of 30 probables for the upcoming 2012 ICC World Twenty20 to played from September 8 in Sri Lanka.



Yuvraj Singh showed signs of good form as he clobbered 47 runs from 70 balls with the help of a couple of classy boundaries and a huge six for KSCA XI (Karnataka State Cricket Association) against India U-19 team.

The Indian star cricketer, who has survived a rare germ cell tumour, wrote on his Twitter page, “Finally, played my first practice game after 8 months! Got 47 off 70 balls bowled 5 overs fielded 30 overs! Not bad for a start!!”.
