KARACHI (TheSportsNext) August 8, 2012: Former Pakistani skipper Shahid Khan Afridi said Wednesday that the Indian Premier League (IPL) is the best foreign Twenty20 league and absence of Pakistani cricketers was a disappointing factor.
KARACHI (TheSportsNext) August 8, 2012: Former Pakistani skipper Shahid Khan Afridi said Wednesday that the Indian Premier League (IPL) is the best foreign Twenty20 league and absence of Pakistani cricketers was a disappointing factor.
Afridi was talking to reporters at the Moin Khan Cricket Academy
on the sidelines of the Corporate Twenty20 tournament which is played every
year during the holy month of Ramadan.
Shahid Afridi, 32, who will be representing Ruhana Royals in
the Sri Lanka Premier League 2012, said that playing in the IPL2008 was one of
the best parts of his cricket career.
Shahid Afridi, who has played in various foreign cricket
leagues including BigBash League, Friends Life T20, Bangladesh Premier League,
and Indian Premier League, said, “Although I played just once in the IPL but it
is easily the biggest league you can play in and I enjoyed my experience”.
“The IPL is clearly the best organised foreign league and it
was a totally different experience playing in it”, Boom
Boom Afridi added.
