LAHORE (TheSportsNext) August 8, 2012:
Pakistan’s left-arm fast bowler Wahab Riaz will be part of the Ruhana Royals in
the inaugural Sri Lanka Premier League 2012 (SLPL2012) after its coach Waqar
Younis recommended the franchise to acquire the pacer.
The maiden edition of the Sri Lanka Premier League is
swinging into action from August 11, 2012 and Pakistani left-armer, who grabbed
five wickets against India in last year’s ICC Cricket World Cup semi-final
match against India in Mohali, will get a great chance of making a comeback
into the national side.
Apart from Wahab Riaz, Ruhana Royals also have the service
of international cricket stars like former Pakistani skipper Shahid Khan
Afridi, Lasith Malinga (captain of the side), South African opener Richard
Levi, Kiwi off-spinner Nathan McCullum, Aussie Aaron Finch, West Indian pacer
Jerome Taylor, and locals Chamara Silva, Prasanna Jayawardene, and Lahiru
Thirimanne.
