Speaking to reporters at Karachi airport before leaving for United Arab Emirates, Shahid Afridi showed his discontentment on appointment of Mohammad Akram as bowling coach of Pakistan cricket team. He was of the view that the bowling coach should have been someone who could deal with both spinners and fast bowlers.

Talking about the upcoming series against Australia, Boom Boom Afridi said that he will try to make Pakistan defeat Australia in One Day International and Twenty20 series with key performances.

He believed Pakistan were enjoying advantage over Aussies in the UAE conditions which suited Pakistani style of cricketers more.
