HYDERABAD, India (TheSportsNext) August 26, 2012:
India outclassed New Zealand by an innings and 115 runs in the first Test
played at Hyderabad after the tourists were folded for 164 runs in their second
innings on Sunday.
Offspin bowler Ravichandran Ashwin was the star for India as
he took six wickets for 54 runs in the second innings to rip though New
Zealanders after dismantling the visitors with figures of six for 31 in the
first innings.
Ravichandran Ashwin took 12 wickets for 85 runs in the match
and was declared Man of the Match.
India had scored 438 runs in their first innings before
getting New Zealand out twice for 159 and 164 runs.
