ICC stops Babar Azam in Australia

KARACHI (TheSportsNext) August 26, 2012: Pakistan U19 captain Babar Azam has been stopped by the International Cricket Council (ICC) after the ICC U19 World Cup 2012 culminated in Australian city of Townsville on Sunday.


 



Sources told TheSportsNext here Babar Azam, 17, has been stopped by the ICC in Australia for a suspect bowling action.

Babar Azam, who topped Pakistan’s best batsmen with a total of 287 runs at an average of 57.40 and a strike rate of 65.52 in the ICC U19 World Cup 2012, seldom bowls but the ICC has found his action suspected and he will be free to leave Australia after getting some tests conducted.
