The Detroit Police and US Homeland Security officials responded to the bomb threat, second in a week, in a professional manner and declared the Comerica Park as clear after thorough investigation.

Eventually, no suspicious device was found at the Comerica Park, the cops told local media.

As per the details, the 9-1-1 received a call at 8pm where an unknown person informed the officials about a bomb placed at the Comerica Park where the Detroit Tigers and the Los Angeles Angels were playing the game.

The Detroit Police and the US Homeland Security dealt with the bomb threat in a professional manner and didn’t create chaos at the Comerica Park and resolved the issue without getting the area evacuated. The Comerica Park was declared clear at 11pm.

Detroit has been hit by the bomb threat calls since last week when a threat was received for the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel. That bomb threat was followed by the one on Monday which caused the Ambassador Bridge, which connects with the Canadian border, to shut down from 7 p.m. Monday till 1 a.m. Tuesday.

Detroit Police chief Ralph Godbee told reporters, "We're following leads, and relative to the most recent incident; I think they're promising leads. But we're far from saying we're close to closing anything."
