LAHORE (TheSportsNext) August 3, 2012: Pakistan’s
former cricket captain Shoaib Malik is excited about the inaugural season of
Sri Lanka Premier League which is commencing from August 11, 2012.
Talking to local media here Friday, Shoaib Malik, who
married Indian tennis star Sania Mirza, said that the SLPL2012 is being
organized just at the right time and it will benefit Pakistani cricketers the
most.
He further elaborated that by participating in the Sri
Lankan domestic Twenty20 cricket competition Pakistani cricketers will get a
great chance of getting accustomed to the playing and weather conditions in the
Island which will benefit them during the 2012 ICC World Twenty20.
The 2012 ICC World Twenty20 starts from September 8, 2012 in
Sri Lanka.
