3rd PCB U16 Pepsi Cricket Stars programme begins Sunday

LAHORE (TheSportsNext) August 24, 2012: The open trials of the Third Edition U-16 PCB-Pepsi cricket stars programme will commence from August 26 at various centres across the country.

 

The trials will be held in 4 districts with 6 activities in Punjab, Baluchistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa simultaneously. "The first Phase of the talent hunt Programme has already been started from June 1, 2012 in different parts of the country," said a spokesman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) here on Friday.

He said the two days open trials at different districts will be held under the supervision of regional Head Coaches and NCA Talent Hunt Officers, which will be followed by the age verification process to be conducted by NCA medical panel. Players born on or after September 1, 1996 are eligible to appear for trials.

Players clearing the age verification process will be shortlisted for final trials to be held at a later date at respective regional headquarters, he added.

Following is the pgoramme of trials: Aug 26-30 at Multan Cricket Stadium; Aug 26-30 at Sahiwal Stadium; Aug 26-30 at Shaheed Abdul Ghaffar Sial Stadium Naseerabad and Aug 29-31 at Jam Mir Ghulam Cricket Stadium Hub.
