AIPS asked to solve issues facing Pak sports journalists

LONDON (TheSportsNext) August 9, 2012: Roslyn Morris, AIPS Secretary General, appreciated the efforts being made by Sports Journalists Association of Sindh (SJAS) for the promotion of sports and welfare of its members and promised to help resolve the issues facing sports journalists in Pakistan.

Rashid Ali Siddiqui, President SJAS, called on AIPS Secretary General Roslyn Morris during London Olympic Games and exchanged with her views of mutual interests. President SJAS briefed her about the holding of 3rd PSWF Congress, held in Karachi from June 1 to 3, 2012.

 

He also informed her about sorry state of affairs of PSWF and said that Amjad Aziz Malik, Secretary General PSWF sabotaged the Congress by his negative attitude which resulted in parting ways by two units Sindh and Islamabad (RISJA) with present PSWF set-up.

He informed her that Secretary General PSWF has been alleged to take unconstitutional steps, ignored Nasir Aslam Rajaz, Treasurer PSWF by taking all financial matters in his hands, interfered in the internal matters of units and encouraged disgruntled elements of Sindh and Islamabad to raise parallel bodies.

He also urged the AIPS to support genuine sports journalists in Pakistan. He presented her SJAS souvenir. AIPS Secretary General was impressed to see the activities organized by SJAS and appreciated the work.

Roslyn Morris presented him History Book of AIPS and AIPS pin. The meeting lasted for about 40 minutes and AIPS Secretary General’s husband Mr David Morris also joined them for a while.
