(TheSportsNext) August 9, 2012: Roslyn Morris, AIPS Secretary General,
appreciated the efforts being made by Sports Journalists Association of Sindh
(SJAS) for the promotion of sports and welfare of its members and promised to
help resolve the issues facing sports journalists in Pakistan.
Rashid Ali Siddiqui, President SJAS, called on AIPS
Secretary General Roslyn Morris during London Olympic Games and exchanged with her views of
mutual interests. President SJAS briefed her about the holding of 3rd PSWF
Congress, held in Karachi from June 1 to 3, 2012.
He also informed her about sorry state of affairs of PSWF
and said that Amjad Aziz Malik, Secretary General PSWF sabotaged the Congress
by his negative attitude which resulted in parting ways by two units Sindh and
Islamabad (RISJA) with present PSWF set-up.
He informed her that Secretary General PSWF has been alleged
to take unconstitutional steps, ignored Nasir Aslam Rajaz, Treasurer PSWF by
taking all financial matters in his hands, interfered in the internal matters
of units and encouraged disgruntled elements of Sindh and Islamabad to raise
parallel bodies.
He also urged the AIPS to support genuine sports journalists
in Pakistan. He presented her SJAS souvenir. AIPS Secretary General was
impressed to see the activities organized by SJAS and appreciated the work.
