PCB stops Afridi, Umar, Ajmal, from Big Bash League participation

LAHORE, Pakistan (TheSportsNEXT) November 15, 2012: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Thursday barred three of the country’s top Twenty20 stars Umar Akmal, Saeed Ajmal and Shahid Afridi from participating into next month’s KFC Big Bash League to prepare for the upcoming India series.

World XI tour to Pakistan postponed again

KARACHI (TheSportsNext) August 2, 2012: The long-awaited World XI tour to Pakistan has once again been postponed due to unavailability of top Pakistan cricketers for the series, Dr. MA Shah told local media on Wednesday evening.

This is the second time that the World XI tour Pakistan has been postponed. The last time it was cancelled in May 2012 after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) ordered Dr. MA Shah to postpone the two-match series as the Pakistan cricket team was preparing for the Sri Lanka tour.

Inaugural Sri Lankan Premier League set for huge start

COLOMBO: The inaugural edition of the Sri Lanka Premier League (SLPL) is all set to commence from August 11, 2012 where top international and Sri Lankan players will showcase their Twenty20 skills.

While the national cricket team is busy taking on India in the five-match One Day International series, the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) officials are finalizing arrangements to make the SLPL2012 a huge success.
