Karachi City Cricket Association bans Hasan Raza for a year

KARACHI, Pakistan (TheSportsNEXT) November 20, 2012: The Karachi City Cricket Association (KCCA) on Tuesday banned former Karachi skipper Hasan Raza for a year, TheSportsNEXT.com has learnt.


As per details, the ban was imposed on Hasan Raza as he was accused of violating discipline when he was captain of the Karachi Zebras during the previous edition of the domestic Twenty20 competition.

Sources in the KCCA told this scribe that Hasan Raza won’t be captaining any of the Karachi side for a year.

Hasan Raza, a middle-order batsman made his international debut for Pakistan on October 24 against Zimbabwe and last represented the national team on November 29 against England in Lahore.

Hasan Raza played seven Test matches for Pakistan and scored 235 runs at an average of 26.11 with highest score of 68. The right-hand batsman also represented Pakistan in 16 One Day Internationals and scored 242 runs at 18.61 runs per innings with 77 being his highest score.
