Pakistan to feature in 22nd Asian Tenpin Bowling Championship 2012

KARACHI: Pakistan Sports Board and Ministry of Interprovincial coordination issued NOC to Pakistan Tenpin Bowling Federation to participate in 22nd Asian Tenpin Bowling Championship held at Hong Kong Bowling City at Emax Shopping Center in Kowloon Bay from September 2 to 11, 2012.

 


At this moment while talking to media general secretary of Pakistan Tenpin Bowling Federation said that it is the second time Pakistani team is participating in Asian Championship. And we hope that our team will perform better. Pakistani team comprise of Ijaz Ur Rehman, Saleem Baig, Muhammad Hussain Chatha & Zafar Iqbal from Islamabad and Aleem Agha & Shabbir Lashkarwala from Sindh, while officials Muhammad Shuja Khan will also join the team.

23 out of 38 member of the Asian Bowling Federation (ABF) have confirmed participation: Australia, Bahrain, China, Chinese Taipei, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kuwait, Macau, Malaysia, New Zealand, Pakistan, People's Republic of Korea, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, UAE, Uzbekistan and the host country Hong Kong.

He demands from Ministry of IPC and Pakistan Sports Board to immediately issue funds for the tour so our team could participate in championship. He further added that we struggle a lot for the promotion of bowling in Pakistan and with our own resources bring laurels for Pakistan by participate in the international Events. He said that our youngsters keep a heap of talent the only need is to provoke it. He appeals to all the political administrators to take sufficient steps to safe the talent.
