Olympic Council of Asia baseball coaches course starts Sunday

LAHORE (TheSportsNext) August 24, 2012: The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) baseball coaches course will commence here from August 26 here at Sports Board Punjab Academy National Hockey Stadium.

 

The 13-day useful activity aims at upgrading the existing knowledge of the national coaches, said a spokesman of Pakistan Federation Baseball (PBF) here on Friday.

He said Arif Shahzad, A grade baseball coach, will conduct the course as course director. "The participants will be taught the latest knowledge of baseball coaching besides the changes made in the international rule," he said.

There will be two daily sessions with morning session focusing on theory and lectures with afternoon session laying emphasis on practical and demonstration of the coaching methods.

The spokesman expressed his gratitude to OCA and Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) for allocating the course to PFBB for the further development of the game and to strengthen the department of technical officials. PFBB president Shaukat Javed will inaugurate the event.
